Designed for filmmakers, this Tiffen Black Glimmerglass 4 x 5.65" diffusion filter features a 1/2 density for a moderate effect. It is designed to subtly soften the image and reduce detail resolution, often sought after by videographers who wish to simulate the appearance of film whilst shooting with digital equipment. The filter is made of clear white glass and can be mounted on compatible square filter holders.
This Black Glimmerglass model gives a subdued and washed-out appearance to vivid colours and reduces contrast through its white halo effect. It can smooth unwanted blemishes, wrinkles or other fine details on a subject's face whilst keeping the overall image sharp, making it well suited for portrait work. Manufactured using ColorCore technology, each Tiffen filter is designed to be precise in its effect and produce consistent results.
