Designed for filmmakers, this Tiffen Black Glimmerglass 4 x 5.65" diffusion filter features a 1/4 density for a subtle effect. It is designed to slightly soften the image and reduce detail resolution, often sought after by videographers who wish to simulate the look of film whilst shooting with digital equipment. The filter is made from clear white glass and can be mounted on compatible square filter holders.
This Black Glimmerglass model gives bright colours a muted and washed-out appearance and reduces contrast through its white halation effect. It can soften unwanted imperfections, wrinkles or other fine details on a subject's face whilst keeping the overall image sharp, making it particularly suitable for portrait work.
