Designed for filmmakers, this 6.6 x 6.6" Black Glimmerglass diffusion filter from Tiffen features a 1/8 density for a subtle effect. It is designed to subtly soften the image and reduce detail resolution, often sought after by videographers who want to simulate the look of film whilst shooting with digital equipment. The filter is made from clear white glass and can be mounted on compatible square filter holders.
This black Black Glimmerglass model gives a subdued and washed-out appearance to bright colours and reduces contrast through its white halo effect. It can soften imperfections, wrinkles or other fine details on a subject's face whilst keeping the overall image sharp, making it particularly suitable for portrait work.
