Tiffen Satin 2 6.6 x 6.6" Filter

The Tiffen Satin 2 6.6 x 6.6" filter can be used to intentionally reduce the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles. This can be useful for creating a more flattering result of the subject whilst highlights are softened, contrast is reduced and textures take on a smoother appearance. Additionally, a halation effect around highlights is created, which can further enhance a subject's appearance or produce the desired effect whilst maintaining overall sharpness.
This filter has a grade of 2. Grades 1/2, 1 and 3 are also available, with the effect of this type of filter becoming approximately twice as strong with each increase in grade number.
This filter is constructed from water white glass for enhanced clarity and colour fidelity. It is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and grinding it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
