Tiffen 77mm 2.1 Neutral Density Filter
The Tiffen 77mm 2.1 neutral density filter is a solid ND filter with a 128x filter factor that provides a 7-stop exposure reduction. Its 2.1 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing down your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey motion more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect image colouration and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
This filter is made from Water White glass and is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it in precision metal rings.
