Tiffen 52mm NATural IRND 1.2 Filter (4 Stops)

The Tiffen 52mm NATural IRND 1.2 Filter is an ND filter with a 16x filter factor that provides a 4-stop reduction in exposure. Its 1.2 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can more easily control depth of field and convey movement. Neutral density filters are designed not to affect the colouration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
This filter's design has been optimised for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly uniform attenuation of both visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater sensitivity to infrared light, compared to traditional film, colour casts can occur when photographing darker subjects requiring increased exposure times.
This filter is uncoated, constructed from water white glass for enhanced clarity, and features an aluminium alloy filter ring for durability whilst remaining lightweight. It is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
