Tiffen 72mm NATural IRND 1.5 (5 Stops) Filter

The Tiffen 72mm NATural IRND 1.5 filter is an ND filter with a 32x filter factor that offers a 5-stop exposure reduction. Its density of 1.5 creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing down your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey motion more easily. Neutral density filters are designed not to affect the colouring of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
The design of this filter has been optimised for use with digital sensors and to promote almost uniform attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to the increased sensitivity of image sensors to infrared light compared to traditional films, colour casts can occur when photographing darker subjects requiring longer exposure times.
This filter is uncoated, constructed from water-white glass for enhanced clarity, and features an aluminium alloy filter ring for durability whilst remaining lightweight. It is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
