Tiffen 77mm NATural IRND 1.2 Filter (4 Stops) 
 
The Tiffen 77mm NATural IRND 1.2 filter is an ND filter with a 16x filter factor that provides a 4-stop exposure reduction. Its 1.2 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing down your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and more easily convey movement. Neutral density filters are designed not to affect image colouration and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
This filter's design has been optimised for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly uniform attenuation of both visible and infrared light. Due to image sensors' increased sensitivity to infrared light compared to traditional film, colour casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times.
This uncoated filter is constructed from water-white glass for increased clarity and features an aluminium alloy ring for durability whilst remaining lightweight. It is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
