Tiffen 77 mm NATural IRND 1.5 (5 stops) Filter 

The Tiffen 77 mm NATural IRND 1.5 filter is an ND filter with a 32x filter factor that provides an exposure reduction of 5 stops. Its density of 1.5 creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing down your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey motion more easily. Neutral density filters are designed not to affect the colouration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
The design of this filter has been optimised for use with digital sensors and to promote almost uniform attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to the greater sensitivity of imaging sensors to infrared light, compared to traditional films, colour casts can occur when photographing darker subjects requiring increased exposure times.
This uncoated filter is made from water-white glass for enhanced clarity and features an aluminium alloy ring for durability whilst remaining lightweight. It is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and grinds it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
