Tiffen 82mm NATural IRND 1.5 Filter (5 Stops) 
 
The Tiffen 82mm NATural IRND 1.5 Filter is an ND filter with a 32x filter factor that provides a 5-stop reduction in exposure. Its 1.5 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than would normally be required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and more easily convey movement. Neutral density filters are designed not to affect the colouration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
This filter's design has been optimised for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly flat attenuation of both visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' increased sensitivity to infrared light, compared to traditional film, colour casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require longer exposure times.
This filter is uncoated, constructed from extra-white glass for improved clarity, and features an aluminium alloy ring for durability whilst remaining lightweight. It is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and polishes it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
