Combining infrared attenuation with solid neutral density, the Tiffen 4.5" Round IRND 1.2 filter is a versatile solution for reducing exposure values and achieving neutral colour. The neutral density part of the filter offers 4 stops of exposure reduction for working with longer shutter speeds or wider apertures. The IR part attenuates infrared wavelengths above 700nm to facilitate working with CCD and CMOS sensors in challenging lighting conditions where infrared pollution can affect colour balance. This IR design also works proportionally to the density value, allowing you to achieve comparably neutral results from one density to another in various lighting conditions. The filter is constructed from white crystal optical glass and uses Tiffen's ColorCore technology to maintain clarity and quality. It measures 4.5" in diameter and is suitable for use in certain lens hoods and matteboxes.nnn- By eliminating the need to use multiple filters simultaneously, this filter combines two distinct effects to reduce the number of filter surfaces used.n- The IRND 1.2 filter offers 4 stops of exposure reduction to allow working with longer shutter speeds or wider apertures than normally required.n- The infrared-attenuating design eliminates IR leaks above 700nm, is proportional to the neutral density value and helps ensure clean, accurate colours as well as true blacks.n- Constructed with ColorCore technology in white crystal optical glass to maintain image quality.n- Measures 4.5" in diameter and is suitable for use with certain lens hoods and matteboxes.nnnSpecificationsnnn
