Learn more on Explora Combining infrared attenuation with solid neutral density, the Tiffen 4.5" Round IRND 1.5 Filter is a versatile solution for reducing exposure values whilst achieving neutral colour. The neutral density portion of the filter provides 5 stops of exposure reduction to work with slower shutter speeds or wider apertures. The IR portion attenuates infrared wavelengths above 700nm to facilitate working with CCD and CMOS sensors in challenging lighting conditions where infrared pollution can affect colour balance. This IR design also works proportionately to the density value, allowing you to achieve comparably neutral results from one density to another in various lighting conditions. The filter is constructed from extra-clear white optical glass and uses Tiffen's ColorCore technology to maintain clarity and quality. It measures 4.5" in diameter and is suitable for use in certain matte boxes and lens shades. - Eliminating the need to use multiple filters simultaneously, this filter combines two distinct effects to reduce the number of filter surfaces used. - The IRND 1.5 filter provides 5 stops of exposure reduction to allow working with slower shutter speeds or wider apertures than normally required. - The infrared attenuation design eliminates IR leaks above 700nm, is proportionate to the neutral density value, and helps ensure clean and accurate colours as well as true blacks. - Constructed using ColorCore technology in extra-clear white optical glass to maintain image quality. - Measures 4.5" in diameter and is suitable for use with certain matte boxes and lens shades.
