Combining infrared attenuation with solid neutral density, the Tiffen 4.5" round IRND 2.1 filter is a versatile solution for reducing exposure values and achieving neutral colour. The neutral density portion of the filter offers a 7-stop exposure reduction for working with longer shutter speeds or wider aperture settings. The IR portion attenuates infrared wavelengths above 700nm to facilitate working with CCD and CMOS sensors in challenging lighting conditions where infrared pollution can affect colour balance. This IR design also works proportionally to the density value, enabling you to achieve comparatively neutral results from density to density in various lighting conditions. The filter is constructed from water white optical glass and uses Tiffen's ColorCore technology to maintain clarity and quality. It measures 4.5" in diameter and is suitable for use in certain matte boxes and lens hoods.
- Eliminating the need to use multiple filters at once, this filter combines two distinct effects to reduce the number of filter surfaces used.
- The IRND 2.1 filter offers a 7-stop exposure reduction to enable working with longer shutter speeds or wider aperture settings than normally required.
- The infrared attenuating design eliminates IR leak above 700nm, is proportional to the neutral density value, and helps ensure clean, accurate colours as well as true blacks.
- Constructed with ColorCore technology in water white optical glass to maintain image quality.
- Measures 4.5" in diameter and is suitable for use with certain matte boxes and lens hoods.
