Combining three distinct effects in a single filter, the Tiffen 4 x 4" IRND 0.6 Glimmerglass 1/2 provides 2 stops of exposure reduction, attenuates infrared wavelengths and slightly softens skin detail whilst adding a luminous quality to highlights. Designed for high-definition video capture with CMOS and CCD sensors, this filter compensates for the increased red sensitivity of these sensors to produce cleaner, more accurate colours and also eliminates the "overly sharp digital" look for a softer image quality. The filter is made from water-white optical glass for preserved clarity and measures 4 x 4" / 101.6 x 101.6 mm to fit perfectly into lightweight or clip-on matte boxes.
