Combining three distinct effects in a single filter, the Tiffen 4 x 4" IRND 0.9 Glimmerglass 1/2 filter offers 3 stops of exposure reduction, attenuates infrared wavelengths and slightly softens skin details whilst adding a luminous quality to highlights. Designed for use with high-definition video capture with CMOS and CCD sensors, this filter compensates for the extended red sensitivity of these sensor designs to produce cleaner and more accurate colours and also eliminates the overly sharp “digital edge” for a softer image quality. The filter is made from clear optical white glass to maintain clarity and measures 4 x 4" / 101.6 x 101.6 mm to pair perfectly with lightweight or clip-on matte boxes.
