The Tiffen Pro Indie HV Neutral Density Filter Kit will be very useful for anyone who enjoys filming in HD with their DSLR camera. The filters are manufactured with high-quality Water White Glass for better colour fidelity and improved sharpness. Water White Glass is characterised by ultra-clear, low-iron glass that transmits 98% to 99% of light and features anti-reflective coating. Tiffen has manufactured this kit to work with DSLR cameras that can film in HD and have a small 8-bit colour space. The primary objective was to ensure that the final colour did not have a greenish/brownish tint resulting from other ND filters.

Another advantage of the kit is that it saves money on purchasing individual filters - approximately 20% savings, which is significant by any measure. It comes with a padded storage pouch that includes a convenient belt loop so your filters are always within reach.

Tiffen Neutral Density (ND) filters have several uses and offer the possibility of achieving otherwise impossible results. They enable the photographer to adjust exposure without affecting colour balance. ND filters appear grey and reduce the amount of light reaching the film.

For those who want to create unique and special effects, these filters will be indispensable. Create a sense of movement by photographing a rippling stream and watch the water 'blur'. Or, create an impression of bustling urban life by photographing traffic and see how cars blend into one another with a sense of swirling action.

Determining which neutral density filter gives ideal results for a given lighting situation requires knowledge, experience and a collection of such filters.

Benefits

- Purchasing this kit saves up to 20% compared to individual filter prices

Neutral density filters have four main uses

- To enable the use of slow shutter speeds, particularly with fast films, to record movement of subjects such as waterfalls, clouds or cars
- To decrease depth of field by enabling the use of wider apertures, which helps separate subjects from their background
- To decrease the effective ISO of fast films (above ISO 400) and allow their use outdoors in bright situations
- To enable cine and video cameras (which have fixed shutter speeds) to film subjects such as snow, sand or other bright scenes that might cause overexposure
