The Tiffen Scene Maker 1 filter kit has been created to meet the demands of today's great production challenges. This unique combination of filters now enables videographers/filmmakers to create more impressive and creative effects.

Tiffen, in collaboration with television production company 2nd Unit, announced the introduction of its Scene Makers kits, now available in professional sizes for the film and broadcast industries.


Cool Day for Night Filter

When production costs and schedules don't allow for night shooting, this Day for Night filter can save the day. Rather than adding expensive lighting costs to an already over-budget project, the Day for Night filter enables you to use natural sunlight to create the "night-time" effect.

The Cool Day for Night is based on the perception that moonlight is cool, therefore bluish. To simulate a moonlight atmosphere, a specific shade of lavender is used, producing a visual coolness whilst maintaining realistic flesh tones. Additionally, as the ability to see detail at night is diminished by lower light levels, a low contrast component is added to the filter.


812 Filter

Tiffen's exclusive 812 puts a bit more "yellow" back into the shot. Excellent for flesh tones under overcast conditions, this filter balances skin tones in a washed-out lighting scenario.


Circular Polariser

This essential filter can enhance blue in clouds, eliminate reflections in glass - and is excellent for filming water scenes. The rotating outer ring allows you to select the level of contrast you need.
