The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1 4 x 5.65" filter reduces highlight values whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or soft focus filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. Density 1 provides subtle reduction of contrast and highlights, allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4 x 5.65" / 101.6 x 143.5 mm.
