The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" Round Black Pro-Mist/FX 3/4 Filter helps reduce highlight values whilst slightly lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other blemishes. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft-focus filter, Pro-Mist filters cause little detail loss across the entire image. The 3/4 density offers a subtle reduction in contrast and highlights and provides a soft, pastel-like quality of light.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4 x 5.65" / 101.6 x 143.5 mm.
