The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" Pro-Mist 3 Filter helps to reduce the value of highlights whilst significantly lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other blemishes. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. The density 3 provides greater contrast and highlight reduction than density 2, but less than 4, whilst allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 optical glass plates and polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4 x 5.65" / 101.6 x 143.5 mm.
