Tiffen 4X4 Black Pro-Mist 1/16 Filter
The Tiffen 4 x 4" Black Pro-Mist 1/16 filter helps reduce highlight values whilst slightly reducing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters exhibit minimal loss of detail across the entire image. The 1/16 density provides the slightest reduction of contrast and highlights and produces a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 optical glass plates and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4 x 4" / 101.6 x 101.6 mm.
