The Tiffen 4 x 4” Glimmerglass 1/16 Filter is a dual-function beauty filter: in addition to modifying the appearance of the image itself, it also has a sparkling appearance when viewed from the front, inspiring greater confidence in the subject. The filter itself helps to soften skin detail, imperfections and wrinkles. It also produces bright highlights and a slight reduction in contrast for a more ethereal appearance. The 1/16 density provides less softening than the 1/8.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4 x 4” / 101.6 x 101.6 mm.
