Tiffen 4X4 Glimmerglass 1/8 Filter
Glimmerglass is a range of diffusion filters that produces a soft, clean halo around practical and specular light sources, whilst maintaining apparent sharpness across the entire image. On close-ups, apparent sharpness and fine detail are retained, as the filter effect reduces contrast whilst progressively softening the shadow area. This low-contrast effect moderately tones down bright colours. This means that the lower end of the Glimmerglass diffusion range produces a non-destructive or non-invasive appearance.
Even at higher densities, the filter never becomes intrusive in its halo diffusion. The Glimmerglass filter series also has the advantage of sparkling when viewed, which can reassure your talent during beauty shots; thus, you can focus entirely on the look of your shot.
