Tiffen 4X4 Pro-Mist 1/16 Filter
The Tiffen 4 x 4" Pro-Mist 1/16 Filter helps reduce highlight values whilst significantly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters result in minimal loss of image detail. The 1/16 density offers less contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/8, whilst providing soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinds it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4 x 4" / 101.6 x 101.6 mm.
