Designed for cinematographers, this 4 x 4" Black Glimmerglass Diffusion Filter from Tiffen features a density of 2 for a pronounced effect. It is designed to subtly soften the image and reduce detail resolution, often sought after by videographers who wish to simulate the look of film whilst shooting with digital equipment. The filter is manufactured from water white glass and can be mounted on compatible square filter holders.
This Black Glimmerglass model gives a subdued and washed-out appearance to bright colours and reduces contrast through its white halation effect. It can soften unwanted imperfections, wrinkles or other fine details on a subject's face whilst maintaining overall image sharpness, making it particularly suitable for portrait work. Manufactured with ColorCore technology, each Tiffen filter is designed to be precise in its effect and produce consistent results.
