The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" 3 Red Soft Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add warm, bright red colouration to skies and other bright areas of an image whilst allowing a portion of the image to retain a neutral colour.

The filter colouration is densest at the edge and fades towards the centre, with a smooth transition between the areas of density and the clear areas. Colour density 3 offers less intense red colouration than density 4, but more than the density 2 filter.

This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 5.65" / 101.6 x 143.5 mm.
A horizontally oriented filter has its transition line parallel to the long side of the filter.

Brings bright red colouration to selected areas of the image.

The graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, giving a more realistic appearance whilst allowing the sky or other bright areas to take on the colour of the density.
