The filter itself helps to soften skin detail, blemishes and wrinkles. It also produces bright highlights and a slight reduction in contrast for a more ethereal appearance. Density 1 provides more softening than 1/2, but less than 2.

This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to within 1/10,000th of an inch.
