The Tiffen Digital Diffusion/FX 2 4 x 5.65" filter is a softening and diffusion filter specifically designed to appear invisible, as if no filtration were applied. Compared to other diffusion filters, this filter offers virtually no flare or loss of contrast for more subtle applications. It helps reduce facial blemishes, wrinkles and gently softens textured backgrounds whilst maintaining sharp focus. The 1/4 density offers more softening than 1, but less than 3. This filter is made from water-white glass and is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
