The Tiffen Pro-Mist 1/8 5 x 5" Filter helps to reduce the intensity of highlights whilst noticeably decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve much of the image detail. The 1/8 density offers less contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/4, whilst providing a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 5 x 5" / 127 x 127 mm.
