The Tiffen 5 x 5" Skylight 1-A filter is a general-use filter with a slight pink tint to improve overall colour accuracy and clarity. The pale pink colouring helps reduce the overall blue cast of daylight and is particularly effective when photographing landscapes and in shade.

The Sky 1A filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave permanently on lenses. Filters help reduce dust and moisture that could reach your lens and provide additional protection in the event of drops or situations where scratches could occur.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 sheets of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 5 x 5" / 127 x 127 mm.
