The Tiffen 55mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT filter is a graduated neutral density filter that helps to specifically darken skies and other bright areas of the image. The filter is denser at the edge and gradually fades to transparent at the centre, with a soft edge between the density areas and transparent areas. Neutral density filters do not affect the colouring of the image and the 0.6 density allows a 2-stop reduction of light entering the lens. This filter also features a rotating ring for greater flexibility when placing the density on specific areas of the scene.
The Digital HT treatment is a high transmission multi-coating that exceeds military specifications for hardness and durability. This optical purity combined with high scratch resistance produces a filter that is easy to clean with superior image quality. They also feature low-profile titanium filter rings for increased strength and reduced vignetting.
