Tiffen 43mm ND 0.6 Graduated Attenuator/Blender
The Tiffen 43mm 0.6 Graduated Neutral Density Attenuator/Blender is denser on one edge where it corresponds to a 2-stop reduction of light entering the lens and fades to clear on the other edge. Its graduation can be used to selectively darken an image from one edge to the other, allowing for wider apertures or reduced shutter speeds. Whilst the 0.6 density of this graduated attenuator/blender can be applied to bright skies, other regions of the image are exposed with a progressively decreasing effect.
This filter is constructed using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it in precision metal rings.
