Tiffen 52mm ND 0.6 Attenuator/Graduated Filter
The Tiffen 52mm 0.6 graduated neutral density attenuator/graduated filter is densest at one edge where it provides a 2-stop reduction of light entering the lens and gradually transitions to the other edge. Its graduation can be used to selectively darken an image from one edge to the other, allowing for wider apertures or reduced shutter speeds. Whilst the 0.6 density of this attenuator/blender graduation can be applied to bright skies, other regions of the image are exposed with a progressively decreasing effect.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process which involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it in precision metal rings.
