Tiffen 62 mm Graduated ND/Attenuator 0.6
The Tiffen 62 mm Graduated Neutral Density/Graduated Attenuator 0.6 Filter is densest at one edge where it corresponds to a 2-stop reduction in the light entering the lens and fades to clear at the other edge. Its graduation can be used to selectively darken an image from edge to edge, allowing for wider apertures or reduced shutter speeds. Whilst the 0.6 density of this graduated attenuator/filter can be applied to bright skies, other regions of the image are exposed with a progressively decreasing effect.
This filter is constructed using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it in precision metal rings.
