Tiffen 77 mm Attenuator/Graduated ND 0.6
The Tiffen 77 mm 0.6 Neutral Density Attenuator/Graduated filter is denser on one edge where it corresponds to a 2-stop reduction of light entering the lens and gradually clears to become transparent on the other edge. Its gradation can be used to selectively darken an image from one edge to another, allowing wider apertures or reduced shutter speeds. Whilst the 0.6 density of this attenuator/graduated filter can be applied to bright skies, other regions of the image are exposed with a progressively decreasing effect.
This filter is constructed using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it in precision metal rings.
