Tiffen 58mm 6 Yellow 1
A 58mm #6 light yellow filter from Tiffen is used for a slight increase in contrast with black and white films. Although less powerful than a traditional #8 yellow filter, it can still make a difference in your photography. You will find that it increases contrast just enough to make the difference between a black and white print that appears "flat" and one that displays the appropriate correction.
Tiffen's ColorCore glass is produced by a process that permanently laminates the filter material between two optical glass plates, ground to a tolerance of one ten-thousandth of an inch, and then mounted in precision aluminium rings.

- Particularly useful for increasing contrast between blue sky with clouds and the foreground
- Tiffen's ColorCore glass is sealed between two optical glass plates. In this way, Tiffen can better control the different densities of their filters and thus create more precise degrees of filtration. This process allows for greater colour accuracy compared to glass that is simply tinted and subject to variations during the tinting process
