Tiffen 72 mm Blue 47B
A Tiffen 72 mm Deep Blue 47B colour balancing filter is a deep blue filter that accentuates haze and fog. It is also used in dye transfer printing, for contrast effects and colour separation as well as tricolour work (lightens blue tones).
Tiffen's ColorCore glass is produced by a process that permanently laminates the filter material between two pieces of optical glass polished to tolerances of one ten-thousandth of an inch, then mounts them in precision aluminium rings.

- Tiffen's ColorCore glass is sealed between two sheets of optical glass. In this way, Tiffen can better control the different densities of its filters and thus create more precise degrees of filtration. This process allows greater colour accuracy compared to simply tinted glass which can be subject to variations during the tinting process
