Tiffen 86C mm 812
Ideal for portraits, the Tiffen 86mm 812 Warming Filter is used to enhance skin tones when shooting in cold lighting conditions. This filter provides a greater warming effect than a 1-A skylight filter and is perfectly suited for outdoor use in overcast weather or in sunny weather when working in the shade. It can also be used to absorb the strong blue cast of electronic flash to achieve more balanced and natural skin tones.
The filter is manufactured using Tiffen's ColorCore technology, which involves stratifying the filter material between two optical glass plates, ground flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and mounted in an aluminium alloy ring. The coarse-thread version of the filter has a 1.0 thread pitch.
