The Tiffen 82mm 82 Light Balancing filter allows the colour temperature to be increased by 100K to slightly cool the image in order to match the colour quality of the lighting. By using an 82 filter, you will be able to achieve a 3200K balance when the dominant light source is 3100K. The cooling effect of this filter requires an exposure increase of 0.3 stops to achieve normal results.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
