Tiffen 49MM Black Pro-Mist 1
The Tiffen 49mm Black Pro-Mist 1 filter helps to reduce the value of highlights whilst slightly lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters result in little loss of detail across the entire image. The density 1 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than density 1/2, but less than density 2, whilst allowing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
