Tiffen 77MM Black Pro-Mist 4
The Tiffen 77mm Black Pro-Mist 4 filter reduces highlight values whilst slightly reducing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. Density 4 offers more reduction of contrast and highlights than density 3, but less than density 5, whilst allowing for soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 optical glass plates, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
