Tiffen 49MM Digital Diffusion FX 3
The Tiffen 49mm Digital Diffusion/FX 3 filter is a softening and diffusion filter specifically designed to appear invisible, as if no filtration were applied. Compared to other diffusion filters, this filter offers virtually no flare or loss of contrast for more subtle applications. It helps reduce facial imperfections, wrinkles and gently softens textured backgrounds whilst maintaining sharp focus. Density 3 provides more softening than 2, but less than 4.
This filter is made from Water White glass and is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, polishing flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting onto precision metal frames.
