Tiffen 52MM Digital Diffusion FX 1/2
The Tiffen 52mm Digital Diffusion/FX 1/2 filter is a softening and diffusion filter specially designed to appear invisible, as if no filtration were being applied. Compared to other diffusion filters, this filter offers virtually no flare or loss of contrast for more subtle applications. It helps to reduce facial imperfections, wrinkles and gently softens textured backgrounds whilst maintaining sharp focus. The 1/2 density offers more softening than the 1/4, but less than the 1.
This filter is constructed from Water White glass and is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
