The Tiffen 55mm Digital Diffusion/FX 2 filter is a softening and diffusion filter specifically designed to appear invisible, as if no filtration were applied. Compared to other diffusion filters, this filter offers virtually no flare or loss of contrast for more subtle applications. It helps to reduce facial imperfections, wrinkles, and gently softens textured backgrounds whilst maintaining sharp focus. Density 2 offers more softening than 1, but less than 3. This filter is manufactured from Water White glass and is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings. Features - Softening and diffusion filter to soften skin detail and smooth textured backgrounds. - Gives the impression that no filtration is being used and helps maintain clear focus. - Water White optical glass for excellent clarity. - Circular size: 55mm filter thread
