Tiffen 58MM Digital Diffusion FX 2
The Tiffen 58mm Digital Diffusion/FX 2 Filter is a softening and diffusion filter specially designed to appear invisible, as if no filtration were applied. Compared to other diffusion filters, this filter offers virtually no halation or loss of contrast for more subtle applications. It helps to soften facial blemishes, wrinkles, and gently soften textured backgrounds whilst maintaining sharp focus. Density 2 offers more softening than density 1, but less than density 3.
This filter is constructed from Water White glass and is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting to precision metal rings.
