The Tiffen 58mm Digital Diffusion/FX 5 filter is a softening and diffusion filter specifically designed to appear invisible, as if no filtration were applied. Compared to other diffusion filters, this filter offers virtually no flare or loss of contrast for more subtle applications. It helps soften facial blemishes, wrinkles and gently smooths textured backgrounds whilst maintaining sharp focus. Density 5 offers more softening than density 4.
This filter is made from Water White glass and is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
