Tiffen 82MM Digital Diffusion FX 1/2
The Tiffen 82mm Digital Diffusion/FX 1/2 filter is a softening and diffusion filter specially designed to be invisible, as if no filtration were applied. Compared to other diffusion filters, this filter offers virtually no halation or loss of contrast for more subtle applications. It helps reduce facial blemishes and wrinkles whilst gently softening textured backgrounds whilst maintaining sharp focus. The 1/2 density offers more softening than the 1/4 density, but less than density 1.
This filter is manufactured from Water White glass and uses ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
