The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1 6 x 6" filter reduces the intensity of highlights whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinema, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters result in little loss of detail across the entire image. Density 1 offers a subtle reduction in contrast and highlights, allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6 x 6" / 152.4 x 152.4 mm.
