The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/4 6 x 6" filter helps reduce the intensity of highlights while slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other blemishes. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters preserve most of the image detail. The 1/4 density offers a very slight reduction in contrast and highlights, allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6 x 6" / 152.4 x 152.4 mm.
