The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/4 6.6 x 6.6" filter reduces the intensity of highlights whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, it can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. The 1/4 density offers very slight reduction in contrast and highlights, allowing a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6mm.
